A.Schengen / Short term visa category - Checklists
Note: All the applicants, irrespective of his/her intended duration of stay in
Germany or the Schengen area has to sign & submit a Declaration of the
provision of true & complete information with their application form.
Applicants applying for Schengen visa exceeding a validity period of one year,
will also have to provide a written guarantee that they will cover all
successive trips with an International Health Insurance valid for the intended
period of travel. Please

02 Photocopies of the passport is required along with the
Application Form while submitting the Application F.
In case of minor applicants(Applicants below the age of 18 years) only the
father is authorized to sign on the Visa Application Form and on the
Declaration Form.sign. The Father has to personally come to VFS and sign in the
presence of VFS Staff. If the Father is not in the country, a Notarized
document from father is required stating that the Mother would take care of all
Visa Formalities.
In case of a sponsorship Letter, Proof of Relationship is required in the form
of Ration Card or the name on the Family Book which is available with the
Sponsor who is residing in Germany.
INTERNET BANK STATEMENTS WILL NOT BE
ACCEPTED IN THE FORM OF PERSONAL AND COMPANY'S BANK STATEMENTS.
Only Bank Statements which carries the Bank
Name, Branch Address ,bank Contact Number,Applicants Name, Address and Account
Number would be accepted.
All
Documents like Ration Card, J Forms, and Marriage Certificate have to be
submitted with an English Translation, which has to be duly stamped from an
Authorized Notary.
Please check before Applying for Transit A Visa-
It is applicable for Indian nationals who are just transiting Germany and who
will not leave the transit area of the airport-
Indian nationals, holding
either
-
a residence permit of one of the following member states of the European Union
(Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France,
Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherland, Poland, Portugal,
Sweden, Spain, United Kingdom)
-
a residence permit of a member state of the EWR (European Economic Area –
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway)
-
a residence permit of Andorra, San Marino, Switzerland or USA
or
-
holder of a valid visa for USA, Canada or Switzerland
do not require a transit visa for Germany (airport transit) on
their way to their final destination and back to India, in case they are not
travelling via another country.
All Indian nationals who are not a holder of the above mentioned residence
permits or visas do require a transit visa (airport transit) prior to their
departure.
