  • 20 January 2012: The visa fee has been revised with effect from 20 January, 2012. The new fee is as follows: Schengen Visa (adult) 4,000,- INR Schengen Visa (child) 2,300 INR National Visa (Child) 2,000 INR
     
  • 15 July 2011: The visa fee has been revised with effect from 15 July 2011. The new visa fee is as follows: Schengen-Visa (adult) 3,800,- INR Schengen Visa (child) 2.200,- INR National-Visa (child) 1.900,- INR

  • 1 June 2011: Please note that with effect from 1 June 2011 the timings for submission of applications at the Germany visa application centre (New Delhi) have been changed to: 0800-1100 hrs and 1300-1430 hrs on all working days (except holidays).

  • 21 March 2011: With effect from 21 March 2011 all travel agents and representatives need to carry a letter of authority from applicants for the submission of applications. The applications without the authority letter from Applicants will not be accepted.

  • Please remember to collect the interview packet from VFS Germany counter before appearing for your interview at the German Embassy, New Delhi.

  • All applicants have to personally sign Declaration 55 and Travel Health Insurance Notice.

  • 27 January 2011: Please note the Germany Schengen Visa Fees has been revised to 4000/-INR w.e.f. 09 May 2011.

  • 07 November 2010: Please note the Germany Schengen Visa Fees has been revised to 3600/-INR w.e.f. 08 November 2010

  • 19 August 2010: Helpline number changing for Germany visa application centre

    This week, our All India helpline numbers are changing. There will be one common number available for ALL INDIA from Thursday, 19th August 2010 for all Germany visa application related inquiries.

  • Please remember to collect the Interview packet from VFS Germany Counter before appearing for your Interview at the German Embassy New Delhi.
        
  • All applicants have to personally sign declaration 55 and overseas mediclaim insurance policy.
       
  • Important notice in regard to admission to the Visa Section and Passport Section of the German Embassy New Delhi:
    with effect from October 20, 2008 visitors of the Visa Section or Passport Section are not allowed to carry the following devices Any form of electronic device (e.g. notebook, mobile phone, and camera), dangerous objects (in particular knives and weapons), bags and luggage. All visitors are only allowed to carry the documents which are asked for and required by the German Embassy.
    Please note that the German Embassy is not in a position to deposit the above mentioned objects.
    The safeguarding of personal belongings outside the Embassy lies in the sole responsibility of each applicant.
