This site provides information on procedures applicable to residents in Karnataka & Kerala who wish to apply for a Schengen visa to travel to Germany as their main destination in the Schengen Area up to 90 days.

The Germany Visa Application centre in Bangalore will be operational from Monday 18 November 2013.

The Germany Visa Application Centre in Kochi & Trivandrum will be Operational from Friday 14th of March 2014.
 
Schengen Visa Application Process
Step 1: Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Consulate General. You may refer to the link ‘All about Visa’ to understand details of Schengen visas.
Step 2: Complete your visa application form and affix your photograph. You may download the form from this website. Also, please mention name along with surname of father and spouse, if applicable. Please ensure that you furnish all the required document, you may download document checklist from this website.
Step 3: All applicants applying for an airport transit or short stay Schengen visa (for business, for cultural or sport events, for tourism, for visiting family or friends, may submit their application at the VFS Visa Application Centre for Germany in Bangalore. A prior appointment is not necessary for submission of Application.
Step 4: Visit the Germany Visa Application Centre during the working hours and receive a token number. Please click here to check address of the center you wish to submit your application at.
Step 5: Submit your application at the VFS center along with the applicable fees. The visa fee for applicants applying in South India for a Schengen Visa is payable by Cash and demand draft in favor of” VFS Global services Pvt ltd” payable at PAR from Nationalized & Public sector banks “ Click here” to view list of banks.
Step 6: Track your application online
Step 7: Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre or wait for courier delivery.
Step 8: Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Service Centre.
